Description
- West Coast Painkiller – Guitar Buffer Pedal
- 4 Mounting Screws
Our pedalboard friendly buffer circuit is a unity gain amplifier with high input impedance and low output impedance. What does that mean: this utility pedal will immediately restore that original tone you’re accustomed to when plugging your instrument directly into your amp; doesn’t matter how many pedals are on your board. The Painkiller whips your tone back into shape immediately! Guitar, bass, fiddle, sax, cello, name it! Re-store your tone with the easily installable, made in the USA pedalboard buffer pedal. Easily powers from a standard 9V Boss style adapter.
**No battery power functionality, it will need power preferably from a high quality isolated power supply **

The Quad Cortex ground Hum solution!!!
I’ve owned my Pain Killer for years, and have used it on all my previous pedalboard builds. Recently, started using a Quad Cortex for fly gigs, but have experienced some extreme ground loop noise (depending on the quality of power I’m playing through at a venue). The noise was so loud, it made single coil pickups unusable. I think this is due to a design flaw in the QC’s grounding chassis. By adding this buffer in the signal chain: Guitar —> Pain Killer —> QC input, it has totally made my single coil pickups silent. (Plus it adds that extra feel from having this buffer in the chain). I’d add this to any Quad Cortex rig.
Love it. Will be getting two more soon.
Make your pedalboard sound great!!
Very nice sounds way better!!
